Running Accomplishments:

I ran a 17:58 5k, and my first and only 10k was 8 minute paced.

NEW 10K: 36:55

NEW 5K: 17:27

FIRST HALF: 1:23:41

I also became a distance runner in one cross country season, rather than be a ... sprinter *shudders*

Short-Term Running Goals:

I want to break 17 minute 5k, and if I can ... get really close to 16 to get me fast enough to possibly do college

Long-Term Running Goals:

I want to run, and be able to run for life...

Some day I'll run a marathon, but I feel more partial to the Half right now ... It just seems like a better race to me.

Maybe if I run another half I will feel better 'cause I know what I am going up against.

Personal:

I love to run, and I am a graduated Senior moving on to college, not running on their team.  I didn't run cross country my freshman year ... (it makes me cry sometimes, what a mistake!) But now I wouldn't mind having cross country 24/7/365

AM: Pipline trail. My quad hurt BAD on the way back, and I can't stand the river ... so I didn't sit in it.

PM: 4 miles, quad slowed me down to about 9 minute pace ... it was painful.

Speed day, first day back at the track.

Oh how I love the smell of the track in the morning... (10 points to those who get the reference).  3 mile warmup, speed was a mile, half, and 4 quarters .... with a half recovery after the mile, and a quarter after everything else.

my quad hurt in the beginning, but the faster I went the better it felt.

10 on the Jordan River Parkway Trail...

I hate this trail, and Bill, I understand how you want workouts close to other people on the team, and this is close to me and Teeples.  But I honestly have ran on this trail sooo much ... I hate it...

3 warmup 3 cooldown and whatever adds up to 10.5 in between the warmup cooldown and the miles.

PM: 3.5 miles at 23:30 which is a perfect 6:45 mi/min pace

AM: 10 mile run, hills of death... it hurt, BUT I have 6 more to do tonight ...

And I have issues with making work out and registration in the next few days ... But I don't know what to do.

PM: Another one of the most painful runs of my life.  The bone in my right calf hurt like no other.  It was definately so painful, that I couldn't continue to run at some parts.  I had to stop and let it get better before I could start again.

AM: Uh, we did speed.  It was at a high altitude... Breathing was hard.

My leg didn't hurt so bad.  But I could still kinda feel something in my right calf.

The speed was 1 mile, then 2 halves, then 1 mile. with half miles in between.

PM:  I did 4 Miles, barefoot.

AM: Puke Hill! It wasn't actually that bad, BUT LETS NEVER GO THERE AGAIN!  I tripped and ripped a hole in my shoe ...

And when I got home, I got chewed out for ripping a hole in my shoe. 

PM: 6 miles on the trail. Hot, but I felt good.

AM: 10 miles.  Finally know whats at the end of the JCC Trail, its City Creek Canyon.

It was an okay 10, better than yesterdays.

PM: 2 1-mile loops around my house

AM: First six miles after the shoe repair.  They were fine, the stich stayed.  My right calf siezed up after the 6 miles.  Hopefully it will be better.

PM: 2 miles, down the trail, and back.  It was a good two, my legs feel good.

Sugarhouse Park, we did 5 hills, that were approximately a quarter mile (recovery was running the hill back to the start and another 20 seconds rest for me, because I was in the last of the 3 staggered groups).

so it was 5 miles warm up, 2 1/2 hills, and then 4 1/2 cooldown.

I cant wait for the day my legs wont hurt anymore.  It will be a fantastic day.

DAH DUN DAAAAAH! Its what you've all been waiting for, the PM workout!

A painful 4 miles, it was hot, I made it home for dinner on time too.

Worst 14 miles of my life.  We ran from the JCC to dry creek, and then back.  Oh my gawsh are those hills pace breakers.

I also puked out a gallon of water afterwards.

AM: 9 miles, 4 800 repeats, with who knows what in the middle.

PM: 5 miles, good run, painful afterwards.

A little sidenote, a couple days ago I was running on my own, and this girl walked up to me and said "Do you jog everywhere?"  In passing all I could say was, "kinda."  But I thought about it, and that question is a little deserving of Kinda...

I mean, no I don't jog EVERYWHERE, nor do I jog that much, but I've ran practically everywhere I know ... So yeah, I kinda do run everywhere, just incase you are reading this little girl.

PM: 6 with RJ, we ran by the Zoo to try and stalk Scott on his hot date... It wasn't meant to be cause we didn't see them.

AM: I don't know how it worked, but I actually got 10 miles at liberty.

Speed was 1 mile (5:53) 2 Halfs (2:40, 2:42), then 'nother mile (6:01)

half miles inbetween 1 lap warm-up.

2 laps cool down

PM: So, I ran 6 miles, it was really painful and tiring, I took a nap too.  The nap helped.

Front page of last weeks mileage board again. ... I don't know how anyone keeps this up, I'd die, if I had to do it much longer.  But 80 was my top, I should be going down now, because the season is starting.

AM: Good run, 3.6 warm up.  10 400 meter hills, 400 cooldown.  1.5 cooldown.

I am happy with my times, all 10 were within 1:24-1:32 very close.

PM: 4 miles on the JRPW trail, felt painful ... very very painful.

The numbers in parentheticals are recovery.  It wasn't necessarily difficult.

3 miles warm up and cool down. and 4 miles in workout.

Today was a good day too, till I got home.
