Running Accomplishments:

I ran a 17:58 5k, and my first and only 10k was 8 minute paced.

NEW 10K: 36:55

NEW 5K: 17:27

FIRST HALF: 1:23:41

I also became a distance runner in one cross country season, rather than be a ... sprinter *shudders*

Short-Term Running Goals:

I want to break 17 minute 5k, and if I can ... get really close to 16 to get me fast enough to possibly do college

Long-Term Running Goals:

I want to run, and be able to run for life...

Some day I'll run a marathon, but I feel more partial to the Half right now ... It just seems like a better race to me.

Maybe if I run another half I will feel better 'cause I know what I am going up against.

Personal:

I love to run, and I am a graduated Senior moving on to college, not running on their team.  I didn't run cross country my freshman year ... (it makes me cry sometimes, what a mistake!) But now I wouldn't mind having cross country 24/7/365

The Great and Terrible Bike and Run.

I did well, the bike hurt my quads like no other.

As well, I waited a tad too long for Javier sometimes.  But it worked out.

3 easy miles,

Preping for the murray 5 k

I ran 7 miles total for the race, and what a race it was.  That was a terrible course for how I tried to run it, I pushed the first half.

and I ran an extra mile later that day just to hit 40.

The Cemetery Loop!

Bill decided that I should stay with Emily for the majority of the run, which was a pain in the neck. But I did it, and I am kinda glad I did.

Today was the JCC trail, to the 4 mile turn-around rather than the 3.  I despise this run, especially that last mile to the turn around.  Its practically all up hill, untill you turn around, and then you realize how much of it was actually down hill, cause now your running up again.

It was okay-ish.  My left leg hit something up a hill, and it was painful, but I ran through it and it went away.

It was Fairmont today, a nice 2 mile warmup, some step ups, and then 4 1/2 miles of speed, and a mile and a half of Cooldown.  In the middle my left calf had a sharp pain, but it faded after a couple steps.  It was an odd method of workout though, I kinda liked just running it, and not knowing how many I was expected to do.

Some crazy run, following some of the marathon course and it went o a drinking fountain on Foothil.  I felt fine, as far as I can remember.

I ran 3 laps around this trail in USU.  It was a good trail, but the wind was really strong coming from the east, and if I can quote Bill, "[The wind] blows."

Ten Mile run by my house.  I felt sick near mile 7, but my time was 76:31 so I kept under 80 minutes like bill asked me to.

It all seemed hard, but I am fine!

3 miles Please follow Fast Running Blog policy regarding vulgar language lek (it was 1, 2, 3, 3, 2, 1 on with 1, 1, 2, 2, 1, 1 off so 20 minutes of running)

and a 2 mile cool-down

It was a hard day, but a nice work out.  I felt great

So we ran a race, and I sucked ... But first in age division so thats okay.

And then we ran an 8 mile cooldown.  and it sucked.

So 13 miles on a race day, when the race is 3 miles ... donesn't sound nice.

A.M. 8 mile version of the cemetery loop, felt good, but i had trouble staying with ben the entire way.

P.M. 4 miles at liberty, hurt my achilles with a wood chip that got stuck in my shoe.

Good race.

2 mile warm up, felt good my calves were tight but good.

The race was awesome I was flying down the hill.  I had a bit of a struggle on the flat, but i stayed under 40 which was a kinda max pace i set for myself.

then 3/4 mile cool down.  to finish my miles.

Today was some hills, and a long warmup at cottonwood complex.

It wasn't that difficult of a hill, and we had a lot of recovery too.

It wasn't a terribly tough workout, but it wasn't easy.

fartlek, 1,2,3,4,5 and then back down, with 1,1,2,3,3,3,2,1,1 recovery.

Then we did 10 hills, just  to reinforce the Hills from hell week thing.

I hate this week.
