| Member Since: Jun 15, 2009 Gender: Male Goal Type: Local Elite Running Accomplishments: I ran a 17:58 5k, and my first and only 10k was 8 minute paced.
NEW 10K: 36:55
NEW 5K: 17:27
FIRST HALF: 1:23:41
I also became a distance runner in one cross country season, rather than be a ... sprinter *shudders* Short-Term Running Goals: I want to break 17 minute 5k, and if I can ... get really close to 16 to get me fast enough to possibly do college Long-Term Running Goals: I want to run, and be able to run for life...
Some day I'll run a marathon, but I feel more partial to the Half right now ... It just seems like a better race to me.
Maybe if I run another half I will feel better 'cause I know what I am going up against. Personal: I love to run, and I am a graduated Senior moving on to college, not running on their team. I didn't run cross country my freshman year ... (it makes me cry sometimes, what a mistake!) But now I wouldn't mind having cross country 24/7/365 Favorite Blogs: |

The first run! It rocked (although I did the same run wednesday last week)! but my knee was hurting, and I couldn't keep up with RJ, but I stayed ahead of Susannah (sorry it is an accomplishment, and I guess a compliment to you too!) Scott stayed with me for pretty far as well!
About the knee for Bill's sake. It hurt on impact and when I pushed off of it. It slowed me down at the beginning, and when it finally warmed up I had already lost the other varsity, so I ran with Scott most of the way. So it hurts but warms up, EVENTUALLY! | Add Comment |

We ran some laps around Sunnyside Park, and did tons of stuff in between. I felt great, all the way through. I was afraid we would do fartleks (how do you spell that?) so I was happy we didn't!
And the shirts Stefan designed were AWESOME ... I never knew he was such an artist! | Add Comment |

Cottonwood Complex ...
we ran a lap ... thing, 5 strides, 5 Bessies, and then played ultimate frisbee (which I didn't count for mileage sadly)
It felt good
Bessie bought the toilets two rounds of drinks ... AKA Scott threw up, he said he did twice! | Add Comment |

Sorry Bill, I was 5 miles off, we ran Pipeline to ... rattlesnake? I forgot what it was but it was about 3.75 miles to the turn around, which it seems all of us but Bill thought was shorter than that.
Bill said I needed to get new shoes, so we went to some shoe store somewhere after workout, and the guy who helped us told me I pronate ... and so I got some Pronation Asics. | Add Comment |
